In his final season as a Hokie, Labovitz earned All-ACC, VaSID All-State team and Player of the Year honors. He also led the team with 22 points, scoring nine goals and three assist in the 2021 season. His senior season marked the second year in a row the forward led the team in points. He recorded his first year with VT in 2019, tallying five goals and two assists on the season.
Labovitz transferred to VT in 2019 after two seasons with the Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights in New Jersey. During his time at FDU, he played 30 matches, scoring seven goals and five assists. We’re excited to have his technical skills and natural instincts around the goal for 2022,” said Head Coach, John Harkes. “We hope to give him a great platform to continue his career at the professional level and we think he will be a great fit for what we’re looking to do in our attack this year.”
Labovitz is the first rookie addition to the 2022 squad. He will be joining a veteran crew of 13 returning Triumph players as well as newcomers Jimmy Filerman, Peter Pearson, Noah Franke, Venton Evans, Jake Keegan, and midfielder Lucas Coutinho this season.
