WHAT TO WATCH FOR
John Harkes’ side will lace up again five days after their 2-1 victory over the Richmond Kickers. An uplifting win gave Greenville its second consecutive conquest with four matches left in the playoff push. Greenville will now face top-three seed opponent, Hailstorm FC with the potential to maximize their three points if they can pull off an upset.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
NCO- Trevor Amann, forward: The Golden Boot leader has already tallied 20 goals across 29 matches for Colorado this season. Despite the striker’s best attempts, Amann hasn’t been able to net one against Greenville.
GVL- Jared Mazzola, goalkeeper: The rookie goalkeeper has quickly proven his caliber with one of the top-four save percentages in the league during his first year. Greenville will need all the points it can get with a home playoff match on the line and Mazzola’s shot-stopping prowess will be key against a strong NOCO attack.
NEWS AND NOTES
